Well ive been waiting for an eternity for another becker, my last one got stolen. As much as I loved the Crewman I just couldnt take myself to buy one on E-bay for 120-150$ So I got it tonight and first impressions are great! It feels nice in my hand. I am average size. 5'-10" 180lbs if that helps. The finish is nice. The sheath is "OK". My biggest complaint is the sheath doesnt have a molle strap on the back......WTF!!! I think I might buy a spec ops brand survival sheath. The little BK13 necker that comes with it has a little kydex lined sheath behind the sheaths external pocket. Its pretty nice idea. You get to carry your little chore knife right with the big dog. The BK7 is made in the USA and the BK13 is made in china. Out of the box the edge was decent. Took some hair off my arm with a little effort. The BK13 really has me excited as I have been waiting forever for the RAT azula. Im going to wrap the handle with some gutted 550 or type1 cord. I am going to michigan for 3 weeks starting dec14 and will have many chances to field this thing. Im going to go pic crazy so expect some good blade porn upon my return. I have a feeling with the failing economy these beckers are going to be a big hit. I compair this knife to my 1984 silverado K20. "Cheap, heavy, and made of real steel"

Later folks!!

The Kabar Becker BK7 is made of 1095 Cro-van steel, which is basically 1095 with extra Nickel, Chromium, Molybdenum, and Vanadium, which improves overall wear resistance versus regular 1095 steel. The black coat should also protect against rust, but it can come off with wear.

I have the BK 2 for everyday carry and the BK7 in the hiking backpack, love them both!! only problem I have had was the snap on the BK2 broke within days of wearing it. Still awesome knives though.
