Hello just wanted everyone to know I just recieved my first Nepalese kukri from kukri house. It is a nice blade it does have a couple of cosmetic flaws but I am happy. I bought this one to be a beater/hard user anyway. I know they have other companies and I think I will try one of the others when I get my next one to hang over my fireplace. This one however is perdect fit for my back pack and just gives me a good feeling to handle it.

Thing is I don't try to justify it as I also uses fiskars hatchet along with a combo of a grohmann boat knife or rc3 or fallkniven f1. I got it soley because I just like the style, it is a time proven tool and basically I just wanted one. Now I must say at a blade length of 10.5 it does fit in my molle bag better than my fiskars. I like it because I feel it is a cross between a machete and hatchet. I can cut wood and while I doubt it will do well in the viney jungle I see it's utility with light brush. It can also perform as a large knife of game cleaning. When I do get to use it I plan on paring it with a rc3, grohmann boat knife or fallkniven f1 for a small utility precision blade and a swiss spirit multi tool. I have not actually used it yet as I just recieved it. In my realistic thinking it will serve as a chopper for wood and shelter construction, brush clearing and might get used to butcher a few goats and deer in my lifetime as well as be a nice conversation piece. In my fantasy thinking, it will do all the above and be my shtf lightsaber after all the bullets have run out.
