Not really. Illegal in California. That is, or course, if you're talking MAGAZINES.

I suppose clips would be okay to make, but they're so cheap to buy.

If you can do it, more power to you...

Getting them right, so they function in your firearm, can be problematic. To get the idea, take a mag that functions normally for you. Then bend the lips out straight, like the metal was before it was formed into the magazine. Now bend them back and see if you can make, what used to be a good magazine, function reliably again...

i live in CA the mags i can own are only 10 rounds. and besides the OP was talking about clips not mags.

I've considered making a templet to make them out of sheet metal in the event that magazines are no longer avalable.

As far as stripper clips, idk. there soo cheep as is.
