Been around for ages. My grandfather used to make it. I never got around to taste it though.


Now, I have a friend who tried to make marzipan wine some years ago. NOT recommended unless you
like the taste of cyanid. :D:

I'll have to try that this spring, I've got enough dandelions growing on the back nine to stay blotto through winter! :)

Dandelion Wine!!! OMG as young whippersnappers in Kaintuck we'd sneak into granny's root cellar and drink it. It was some good wine too! She was mad as a wet hen when she saw all the wine jars were filled with creek water. We never sat for about a week after that. lol It's great to be a "billy!!!

Dandelion wine has been around literally for centuries. It used to be a very commonly made household staple. However, the art of making it has become MUCH less common. Very few people today make and drink it, but it seems to be making a modest comeback.
