I have been hanging around for some time and I am a budding survivalist decided to finally join.

Well I can already say that some of my planning has payed off.

After being hit by a huge ice storm Thursday night I am living comfortably with heat, water, lights, etc... even though my area will be without power till next week sometime.

Guess that 1200 on the Genny was worth it. Not having to drive in this crap because of my fuel stores worth it. Being the only house in a 22 mile radius..... yep worth it.

I guess TSHTF is not the only use I will get out of my preparedness.
