Just discovered these forums.
I live on the East coast of Florida and have an interest in basic survival subjects.
Obviously, in my case, hurricane survival.
Having been through 3 major storms and 4 major power outages, I have a good bit of experience with this subject. As you might guess, I was ready for the first one. I was the only house in my entire neighborhood properly ready.
I built my own house, made it tough and energy efficient. I also wired it for a generator. With propane for hot water and cooking, well and septic systems, Gasoline fire pump/with 6 well points, Plenty of fuel for the generator, the list goes on.
Anyway, glad to be here.
