I've always trusted in preparation over reaction and this looks like the kind of website I can support. So far I've been through huricanes and ice storms that have zapped our power, and other general services. That got me on the survivalist and disaster preparedness cart so to speak. My children being born magnified it a hundred times. I'm no longer responsible for just me. It really makes a difference.

I spent a week backpacking in Linville Gorge, and have spent a couple of sleepless nights in a bear sanctuary area near Mt. Mitchell. Beautiful country!
