Hello, My name is Jake Mostov, I'm 22 years old, and have lived in VT my whole life.
I believe i first found this website while scouring the U-Tube video lists for any info on "light-weight" camping. I lurked here for a few months and finally decided it would be beneficial to join up.
I've shot guns since i was young, but only Bolt actions, and a shotgun on a very rare occasion. Mostly i am interested in setting up and eventually living in a primitive style living space in the hills of Moretown VT where i grew up.
I have skills in many forms of primitive weapon making, to list a few...
*primitive and modern spears, hunting and fishing, throwing and fighting.
*bows and arrows, mostly self bows and recurved bows, but in the process of learning fiberglass bows.
*Blowguns and darts, w/ interest in plants used as Tranquillizer or poison.
*crossbows, and the larger counterpart, the ballista.

More about me later, time for some rainy day squirrel hunting.

Welcome, Jake! It's great that we're getting more and more Vermonters on this site. There's a New England social group, in case you're interested in joining in.

Sounds like you've got the same crappy weather as Burlington does today.

Keep your senses sharp and your weapons loaded and ready.

P.S. I have a step son in Vermont. Beautiful country.:thumb:
