My name's Tabitha. I'm a stay at home mom with one child. I've recently gotten heavily into politics, and...well, if anyone pays any attention to politics lately, preparedness is something that almost goes hand in hand with it. I don't like the direction the US is going in, and while I don't know that I personally can do anything about it, my first and foremost goal is to ensure safety for my family.

I don't know all that much about SHTF things or preparedness, but that's why I've come here: to learn. I figure, better safe than sorry.

welcome to the forum and the world of survivalist/Preppers. choose whatever title you want to call yourself. the key statement you made above was you were doing it for your family. that is what most of us here are doing also. Some have been into the lifestyle since they were kids and some are just getting started. First thing is don't panic. Make your plans and then do it step by step. Don't spend yourself to death and to burn out. Look for the good people here to help you. there are a lot of other Moms on the site. look for the best and you will find them.
