As the economy continues to wind down in this slow death spiral, we will at some point see the dam that holds back the sewage pond of our gentile society burst and come flowing out into our day to day lives.
We all see the desperate situation that state and local governments are in. Crumbling infrastructure, education funding collapsing, reduced police and fire protections and the cutting back of social programs are all things that we see every day.
Now our politicians have finally publicly recognized that we have a debt crisis. They would never have done this if not for our creditors demanding reforms. As the clowns in Washington D.C. act out in a three ring circus, they are behind closed doors trying to figure out how to keep this fragile egg from crumbling before them.
The Federal Reserve recently made the claim that if the debt ceiling was not raised, Congress would have to cut the budget 40% across the board. Well no matter what happens with the fight over the debt ceiling, the budget is 40% out of wack!
So bring on the pain. Don't kid yourself, because it is coming. Our creditors have demanded it and they have the right to.
We no longer have the means to repair the dam that holds back the sewage and discarded in our society. As the budget is cut to keep our creditors at bay, cuts will allow that dam to crumble.
We got a touch of this just a while back when sky rocketing gas prices caught police agencies off guard. Many police departments around the country cut back patrols. In San Fransisco people were told that police would not show up to investigate except in the most extreme cases.
And this is just the beginning.
As the budgets are slashed, jails will be turning inmates out. Look at the overcrowding in California. Because of California's debt they can not afford to build new prisons or outsource their prisoners out of state. Now with the Supreme courts ruling that forces California to fix their overcrowding problems, it looks as though California has no choice but to turn criminals loose back on the streets. Remember as goes California, so does much of the rest of the states who are in no better situation.
The first round of budget cuts always includes benefits for those who are a drain on society. The poor who for what ever reason are incapable of dealing with life and can not fend for themselves. Without the help of the nanny state they will be homeless. They will be without housing, food rations and medical care. Over night we could create a class of desperate people roaming our streets looking for scraps.
At the same time the care for the mentally ill will be scaled back. Do not think that this is only for those in state care. This is also everyone who is subsidized by state medical. Think about how many people in this life are now on some sort of psychotropic drug. This includes overworked house wives, stressed out business men and up to 20% of the children in our schools. What happens when all these people can no longer afford their drugs and the state quits handing them out? We could literally see zombies walking the streets. Many people are now dependent on the drugs they have been taking to keep them from going off the deep end. We see stories every day in the news where someone goes cold turkey off their psychotropic candy and go on some violent bent.
With crumbling infrastructure, the rise of criminals being put back on the street, the mentally unstable uncontrolled and the lack of funds to put the genie back in the bottle; we can expect hell and all of it's chaos unleashed on our gentile lives.
UP For Discussion:
-What do you see as a potential problems because of the lack of budget funding?
-What kind of response could there be from the federal government if any?
-How will this effect the prepper? A slow descent vrs. a total collapse?
