I was talking to my local gunshop owner yesterday, and he was telling me about how the last lead smelter in the U.S. has been shut down, due to Obama's new EPA regulations. This means that the lead necessary to make bullets will be going up in price, due to having to import it. He was also telling me that it's the State Department that has jurisdiction over import/export regulation and that they are probably going to restrict ammo imports in conjunction with this situation. I haven't heard anything about this, but if it is true, gun owners would be wise to stock up on reloading components.
