And, unfortunately, it will never hit the big news outlets, because a man, standing up for himself and the rule of law, successfully defended himself, his wife and his livelihood by using an "evil black assault rifle" with a "high capacity 'clip'" against 3 poor, oppressed black men, two of which were juveniles.

I commend him for doing what he did, and hope charges remain unfiled.

Out here in Liberal land there would have probably been charges filed against the shop owner, just as a matter of procedure. During which time his entire inventory would be confiscated, hey it's a crime scene. Then his background would have been extensively researched for any gang related activity, this of course would be leaked to the local news. When he is finally released to clean up the mess he would be facing a stiff fine for faulty wiring, asbestos insulation, littering and whatever else the local authorities can come up with until he takes his insurance check and moves to Arizona. If you think any of this is an exaggeration then you do not live in California. And yes you are better off that way. Glad to hear he came away from this safe.

Im a betting man by nature, so gotta bet they had no idea the owner lived in the back. If they did know and were serious they wouldve gone thru the back. Id also bet they were there for a quick smash and grab but not very bright.

I assume the bad guys didn't know the shop owner lived in the back.

This could have gone very different if he didn't live there - Thank God he did.

They are/were actually "good boys"....just led astray by poverty and broken families....It's really all of our fault for not transferring more wealth to the cockroach nests otherwise known as inner cities.
On a different note I get a kick out of the comments. There are always a few pantywaists who just have to mourn the loss of a human life no matter how evil. I think they do it to make themselves feel better about themselves in some twisted way. To them I say...just think of the innocents that were saved by the eradication of this truly nasty piece of work. Bravo Shopkeeper, Bravo.
