Greetings! I look forward to learning and sharing what I've learned here.

My survival resume is a bit thin but I am learning more and more every day. I do a great deal of hiking and camping and I have been gradually removing items from my pack and learning to be more creative. The last time I went I slept under a lean-to made from branches and pine needle debris.

My latest interest is in solving problems with primitive skills. My goal is to eventually be able to walk into the forest with little more than the clothes on my back. Currently I use a very small backpack.

My local area is Coastal South Carolina so hiking and camping can often be a real challenge. We have high heat, high humidity, swarms of biting insects, and man eating reptiles here. We also have some incredible scenery, wildlife, and biodiversity.

Thanks for a great forum!
