Not much to say about me.

Think my survivalist bug bit me when I was in boy scouts as a kid. Since then I've always had a thing for spending time out in the woods / bush. Been looking for some local courses for wild edibles / plant ID, orienteering, wildlife tracking, etc. But shockingly in a state as wooded as this, it's either close to nonexistent or extremely tough to find.

I won't get all political, but I am Libertarian and don't see things going well for the country anytime soon. On that note, I'm preparing in case it goes bad even faster than I expected.

I'm sure I'll get to know folks fairly fast as I'm guessing I'll be fairly active here.

Yeah, it can get a bit rough here in the winter. Lot of my family moved from here to Arizona. I'd like to do the same, but I'm kind of stuck due to the housing market tanking. I'd never get for my house what it should be worth right now.
