Greetings from Northern New York

We have power outages due to ice storms and high winds. Preparedness is just a good idea. I try to have food stores that require little or no cooking/prep time. I am also replacing battery operated items with their solar and crank powered counterparts. I cannot afford to spend a lot at once, but inch-by-inch, I am becoming increasingly comfortable with my list of supplies.

Although I do not have enough land for much gardening, I am learning what I can about sustainability.
