Just figured I would drop a link here for you folks..... 6.99 each is an awesome deal for these killer mags. I fed my SU16 the cheapest steel cased garbage ammo through these mags, including a few mag dumps...... No malfunctions. Same ammo through pmags gave me malfunctions.

These are steel, Korean made mags..... with some very STIFF springs.

I ordered 10 of them and with shipping they ended up being just over 8 bucks each

I was thinking I'd bought some of these previously, but mine have green followers, and came from CDNN . . . and cost $10 each, a couple years ago. Prior to that, I bought some Israeli steel mags, E-Landers I think. I have no particular issue with aluminum or polymer mags, but prefer stainless steel for "deep storage" and have amassed quite a few.

So get those 26 and add 26 of the Korean AK mags and it's still just $13 shipping.

Thanks for the tip.

I haven't used these but the Koreans seem to make serviceable good mags so I took a chance. They get good reviews as well.

Picked up 15 so with shipping about $100. Works out to under $7 each, which is a great deal normally and a smoking good deal in the current chaotic environment.

With the current and accelerating chaotic climate, good gun and accessory and ammo prices are becoming more scarce so stack 'em deep. We are regressing in Corona Virus, nationwide mobs destroying cities, prisoners let loose on the public, and it's mid-year in a vicious election year where gun control will be a theme.

Has anyone tried that Australian Outback brand .223 they have on that site? The reviews are good, but is it brass or steel cases?

They have a 200 round case, buy one, get one free for $192.28. If they mean you get 400 rounds, that's not a bad price at .48 cents each. However, if it's only 200 rounds, that's a horrible price, .96 cents each.

Never tried them.

It’s an awful price at $.48 unfortunately.

However seems to be where the markets at.

Fortunately we don’t have a want, or worse a NEED. Feel for folks whom do, for whatever reasons, of which there are aplenty.

The ten I ordered arrived yesterday and they appear well made. Haven't shot them but from other's reports I am not expecting any surprises.

Bought some AK ammo from them, along with some AR magazines, back on the 4th.

Thanks again for the heads up!

All are for handouts / gifts & straight profit resale/trade, so price was pretty reasonable considering.

Just now wanted to take a looksee at SGammo for a comparator valuation on that ammunition, including shipping:

$.28/rd SGammo vs $.21/rd global ordnance (now out of stock).

$.21/rd is pretty high, IMO. But still has decent trade/resale value in current market.

Gift value is just that. Priceless.

Also notable, ran into “sight down” message wall at SGammo when I went to check shipping price on Golden Tiger AK ammo (case shipping price is usually standard at SG). Anywho, kinda telling of how truly wonky the market is.

I had a couple of the AR mags. Well built and worked without any issues, but I didn't put more than a few hundred rounds through them. I kept them in a range bag with some other mags for a while. When I decided to clean out the range bag i noticed the mags had some superficial rust spots that came right off. The HK and one old British steel SA80 mag did not have any rust. I included the korean mags with a rifle I sold a couple of years ago, so no long term experience. Since then I standardized on USGI and Magpuls only.

Seems like decent mags, at least range mags, but I do encourage everyone that purchased some to clean them well with a good lubricant protectant. After seeing the ease of rust, if I still had them, I would consider replacing the spring and add a light coat of something like frog lube inside.

Not disagreeing about cleaning and lubing but using some Crisco is cheaper than buying Frog Lube. They are basically the same thing.

While the HK mags might not have rusted iirc they were not good mags as far as function goes according to the AR aficionados who track such things.

I have had good results with the D & H aluminum mags from PSA. It's not the cheapest price, but there's no shipping costs if you buy them locally.

https://palmettostatearmory.com/d-h-5-56-30rd-aluminum-magazine-8416.html

They are selling them for $9.99 each, but they have multi packs sometimes (packs of 10, typically, dropping the cost to around $8 per mag) and more recently, bundled with a rifle bag (7 mags plus the bag for $119). Again, not screaming good deals, but not terrible, either.

https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-36-single-gun-case-seven-30rd-d-h-magazines.html

As far as performance, I have had excellent results in loading them (the follower is ok, but uses a single spring and it can tip to one side...never had one do that, though). At the range, they perform as well as any other brand mags.

It doesn't hurt to put a very small amount of oil on the grooves, as they feel very dry and almost powder coated from the paint they use.

Then there are these beauties:
https://palmettostatearmory.com/ati...com/ati-schmeisser-5-56-223-ar-15-60rd-g2-mle-magazine-black-atim556s60mle.html

I picked up several after a direct recomendation from a guy using them at PSA's outdoor range. So far, no ftf / fte issues, and loading is easy using a Maglula loader.

Anyway, I hope that helps some of you who may be intetested.

That PSA rifle case/mags combo was a much better deal a few months ago at $89.99.
