i just got a spool of this

the 80 lb. test stuff and i wrapped about 50' on a little sewing machine bobbin. it takes up very little room and it can be used for snare wire, fishing line or emergency shelter building. you can easily fit a large amount on a regular spool of thread too for larger sizes. i paid about the same as the cabellas price but i picked mine up at a local wallmart.

Oooooh, I'll be looking for that, a bobbinfull does sound like a very useful thing to have at hand, especially for its size. :3 Thanks for the tip!

yeah i like the spiderwire because, not only is it strong and cheap, the 80lb test stuff is as think as 17lb test regular fishing line, therefor very thin, and i would think most people can find bobbins easy enough.
