Their countries their laws. Don't like it don't go.
I think many people currently planning a Summer vacation to Europe might be surprised when landing at the airport. "Your papers, please?... oh, and your fingerprints.... and your face scan... and your retinal scan..."

Isn't this a good thing? Shouldn't the USA be doing this very same thing for everyone visiting our country?

With the number of terrorists moving across borders something has to be done to track them.

I would think that the only people bothered by this.... are those up to no good.

Besides, if your traveling internationally.. isn't all this information already (thru your passport) in the system?

With the number of terrorists moving through the borders? How many have you seen? How many have you even heard of by name? Zero! You are drinking the Kool aid like everyone else. I'll be dammed if I'm gonna live in a nation of all seeing big brother because a scare tactic was used on me.

They already do it to tourists visiting usa. they've been doing it since before 911.

It's nice to say that, however, I "must" go. It's my part of my job. Maybe they'd like a DNA sample also. How about a urine sample and medical history?

That's between you and your company.

And it's not just nice to say. It's the truth.

You think terrorists limit their terrorism to their own countries? Only a fool would believe that!

Since they do cross boarders shouldn't everyone support our boarder guards, and supply them with ALL the tools possible, tools that aid them in keeping our country safe? Who would be so hypocritical to allow our country to use these tools and at the same time complain that other countries employ these methods on citizens of the USA?

Haven't we, as a country demonstrated to the world that we too produce terrorists?

You must be a very dangerous fella, to worry that "they" are out there watching you.

If your so scared, just stay at home.

You don't like it here... GO ELSEWHERE!

You still never answered my questions. I'll be waiting for that answer.

I don't think terrorists limit terrorism to their own countries. My point is it is not happening here. At least not to the point the government and MSM would like you to think it is happening and going to happen. Look at it this way, the gov. tells us out of one side of its mouth how great they are at thwarting terrorist activity here and out of the other side of their mouth say they need more and more "big brother" to help stop terrorism here in America. So which is it?

As for the borders I support border guards and think they have one hell of a job to do (with their hands tied most of the time). But currently I am more worried about illegals crossing the border than the big bad terrorists. Do and have terrorists occasionally crossed the border? Perhaps but besides 9/11 any terrorism that has occurred here was home grown. I have no problem with our border patrol using facial recognition on people entering this country. I just don't think our gov should be using it on us. If another country wants to use it on us it is their business and they can do what they want. I don't have to go if I'm against it.

My point, if you weren't able to comprehend it, was people need to stop letting the gov scare them into losing more and more of their freedoms. Is terrorism a concern, yes. But I am tired of the TSA, DHS and all the other agencies with three letters using terrorism as a shield against all the intrusion into American citizens lives.

As for your last comments...dude maybe you should get some anger management. It's just a forum where people share (many time different) ideas. Plus I can't really go elsewhere, I was born here and I kinda like it (at least, what it used to be).

I'm not here to entertain you. You want to engage in banter, find someone else.

If you live in a country that has been hit repeatedly by Terrorists, then they will have higher security then you are used to. If you don't like it then don't travel there. I want my border agencies to protect me, and to be honest I really don't care how they do it.

Funny to hear Americans complaining about this. I remember being upset I had to go through a body scanner and fingerprinting for entering the US from Europe a couple of years ago. I was especially miffed because I was only in the US for a stopover like an hour on my way to Canada.

The simple reality is the US leads the way in these sorts of "security" measures, the rest of the world is just following. I remember in the past but still past 911 having no problem with a small pocket knife when flying inside Germany, and I certainly wasn't fingerprinted on entry to Europe ever. Although I have been fingerprinted to get ID cards.
