who actually runs to a riot? the normal course of events follows something like this: there's an injustice; people file a grievance in the form of a protest; people who think they have power, are afraid of losing it, and send in cops; someone from either side antagonizes the situation, the riot jumps off. now, merely sending in armed troops, is a form of antagonization. the general public is undisciplined at best, so when it jumps off, they do not hold the line. a few will be courageous and possibly falter. everyone else disperses. when this happens, those who think that they have power, believe they have more. which technically, they do, at that point. with riots, there is a lot of collateral damage. protests, don't seem to work. why don't they? because ambitious people are in it for themselves. which means, if you are in their way, you ARE in their way and need to be removed. look at the weapons they have developed to control the masses. a mobile microwave, tear gas guns, rubber bullets, bean bag rounds among others. why not just use regular bullets? regular bullets cause an unholy mess. there are at least two messes i see. the first we all know. the second is, the political one. 'why are you killing your people?' better to have bodies to do your bidding than not.
