The first is an lbv carries 15 mags, medical kit, 2 canteens, radio and overnight pack with ponch, poncho liner, 3 mres, I wear it over a black hawk plate carrier with dragon skin in it.
The second is a condor vest with dragon skin panels with condor recon rig, 12 mags, medical kit, camel back, nods gps.

Nice set ups. Reminds me I really, REALLY need to start going through my hoarding to see what pouches and etc can be used. I have piles of stuff... ugh!

Looks like a good setup! Glad you're gearing for others as well. My only question... only 15 mags?! I hope they're 30-rounders! Just kidding. What is the total weight (loaded and with water, etc.) of the setup?

The full ds condor load out is pushing 60 fully loaded with ammo and water, the old school lbe is pushing 40 total with smokeless and water including the day pack. I do runs in the condor set up once a week weather permitting. It's not that bad and easy to get used to.
15 mags is a nice round number that I learnt is a nice thing to have after my first fire fight I was in and I was carrying 7 went black on ammo was a scary day. If it had just been me and a team that would have been 1/5 of the fire power gone and could've cost us our lives. Thank got it was a a squad plus and there was plenty of ammo to go around. Shtf the biggest element I will be traveling in is a team so I pack a lot ammo just so I don't relive that day with a different outcome

Nice setup/s, I'm breaking in a Condor crossdraw vest at the moment, and it is getting more comfortable all the time. I can only carry 6 mags though, three 10/30 blocked AR and three pistol mag as well as one in the pistol (.45ACP or 9mm). I also have a flashlight and knife as well as a 60" X 90" emergency blanket/tarp and currently a box of 50 .45ACP. Weighs in right at 10 pounds. If I carry the SU16 that gives me another 30 to 60 rounds of on board .223 at another 6-7 pounds. Add a backpack full of dehydrated food and other gear and some water, and I'm as good to go as I'll ever be. Hoping it never comes to that, but plan for the worst and hope for the best.

How do you like the dragonskin plates?

Set up looks good!
The Dragon skin cons are its heavy and expensive
the pro's it offers the most protection per pound and the weight is very well distributed.
I like it I train in it. If I didn't use it for work I would probably just have a plate carrier though just due to price

You like it better than LCE? I have to say, the FLC is a pretty good improvement. I never used it until the last year (the Army is going back to uniformity) but it's comfortable and uses MOLLE. The only thing I don't like is that some of the straps are sewn in such as way that those little metal buckles can wear through and render the whole thing unusable.

I met very few people in the infantry who use the flc I know I never did even when I first got it. I prefer keeping my load low on my hips. It's a necessity when you carry so much weight. I also like the lbv over just a plain lbe due to the ability to put my but back between my shoulder blades and push my canteens together in the back. I like Molle don't get me wrong but that lbv setup cost me 30 bucks at surplus stores near campbell. You can't build a setup as rugged as the lbv in Molle for that cheap

I run very similar rigs, each has it's advantages depending upon what I am trying to do.

Did the military ever approve the Dragon skin? Last I heard they did not.
