I have years of experience with database and programming. I have become interested in Microsoft Access for organizing any collection of data like knives, guns, coins, etc. If you would like help in using Access software I could help you. BUT you have to have a copy of Access 2007 on your computer. Access is about 3 steps more useful than a spreadsheet like Excel. Access has 4 parts:1. the data itself 2. forms you can setup to enter the data or look at it 3. queries where you can set up permanent lookups/sorts 4. reports where you can set up permanent listings. I setup an access database for my Everyday Carry pack. It is composed of a backpack with 3 pouches, a total of 51 items. I can get an alphabetic list and a list by each pouch. I can key in an item name and it will tell me which pouch and in which pocket of that pouch I can find the item. Your collection could have more complicated information. if interested contact [email protected]
