Stock prices had recently climbed a little past being good values recently, and a correction has been due for some time. In an election year, this would traditionally be blamed on the incumbent President. While nobody wants fear of a global pandemic, let alone the pandemic itself, to run wild, all of the attempts to paint President Trump as the cause of the outbreak have not only failed, but proven to any reasonable person that the Democrats are out of their dog dangling minds.

If there needed to be a virus outbreak, the timing couldn't be better, sparing the President from blame for the recent stock price correction.

Agreed, has there been any negative that President Trump hasn't been able to turn around and stick in their??? If you dig, notice that there has always been some kind of "virus outbreak" during election years. Like he didn't know this was coming and was ready... The fools always give him plenty of bang bang, temporary distraction at best. Timing is important.

Has not stopped the democrats from cheering for the virus and trying to cause panic. Reality is, this is worse than the flu but not as bad as the swine flu yet they act like the pres is lying when he tries to stop people from over panicking and crashing the stock market.

The question is whether the trump supporters will ever stop defending him long enough to consider the implications of his cuts in funding for the CDC, and how that affected feet on the ground in the places where novel diseases are showing up all over the planet... Including china.

All that money wasted on his fence when normal funding for the CDC might have meant the difference in being prepared for a pandemic... Ie: more test kits... Or... Better... more of our people in china making sure that we had the straight dope on the beer virus.

Well, when you consider that tuberculosis is a thing again after decades of being all but eradicated in the US, and its specifically from illegals, maybe the wall isnt such a bad idea after all.

I know the "news" has a big impact on the stock market and the sell off indicates a few things as far as "correction territory"

Now is the time to buy though

Yes the market corrects itself.....both up and down

An old man once told me: "The market takes the elevator down but the stairwell going up"

Our economy is strong, the sell off won't last long.

One warning: it will be pretty volatile between now and the election, many opportunities to both buy and sell

Nature of the beast and buyer beware!

LOL, I guess this cloud does have a silver lining after all
More than one actually.

A good cleansing of cities full of libs and their welfare serfs wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

America has become like a poorly managed forest, with deadwood allowed to pile up around the healthy trees to a dangerous extent.

Our economy is only as strong as the weakest link. And currently that weak link is our OVER dependence on China to keep putting things into the pipeline for the just-in-time supply chain.

Another delusional lib it seems.

The CDC's MAJOR funding goal for 2020 was money to study the disease of gun ownership. They are a political organization that like the WHO is more interested in social engineering than actual disease control.

And exactly what would the CDC do to stop a virus from rearing its ugly head? What sort of power should the CDC have in the first place? Should they put everyone into lockdown the moment someone comes down with the sniffles? Exactly what is an over-sized government of MEN & WOMEN going to do to stop the normal maladies of life? You place too much stock and trust in MEN & WOMEN who have to use the toilet just like the rest of us do

So this happens to benefit the POTUS? Hmm?

The crash is happening because big money is pulling out, cashing out the gains, resetting the market to lower prices and attract new suckers.

There really is no rational argument to be made that coronavirus is going to create a long term global market collapse. We are looking at a 6 month event at most. The stats indicate that the cases are trending to a flat line, not an exponential increase.

Interestingly the SARS outbreak and the 2008 market collapse coincided.

This latest attempt to bring President Trump down will fail like all the rest. Whatever comes next, will have to be BIG.
This is my concern too. We have Saint Patrick's day parades coming up in many cities, 2 weeks away. A good opportunity to wreak some havoc. The Boston Marathon bombing is a past example.

With luck the virus may fizzle out like regular flu unless something diabolical is built into it.

Only the stats provided by the communist Chinese. Those are the numbers you are taking as gospel? Every other country is seeing quite a bit of growth in their cases.

The Chinese are providing propaganda not actual numbers. They are putting on a happy face to the world and their own people. As they encourage or even force their workers back on the job and don't care if they die as long as their production gets started again.

The damage to the world's economy is almost totally dependent on how long the Chinese are off line.

POTUS saw this coming a mile off.

Why do you think he closes borders?
Why do you think he instituted travel bans?
Why do you think he is defunding sanctuary cities?
Why do you think he is raking China over the trade coals?
Why do you think he is moving the supply chain back to the US?
Why do you think, goes on and on.
He wasn't supposed to win...

I suspect POTUS is having some very pointed and direct convo's with Mr. Xi, right about now...

Parade bombings, mass shootings, stock market, other "minor" events wont do it as the DS will witness another failed attempt. Think on the scale of WW comms blackout.

Expect Soros to rear his ugly head again in the media, he wont be happy when this latest hoax tanks. His minions will be out in full force.

The next one could be our SHTF. POTUS is always ready and usually a step or two ahead.

For ONE they should be tied into the incompetent fools at NSA. Apparently with the BILLIONS of $ we spend on our spooks they can't detect what was going on in Wuhan for MONTHS. Or to give the useless swampie featherbedders at CDC a clue. The was even a US mission IN Wuhan. pathetic.
