Flour Tortillas
3 Cups Flour
1 Tbs. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Warm Water
Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Cut in shortening, mixing with fork until coarse. Add one cup of warm water to make dough. Form dough into 1 inch balls. Use a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface to flatten balls into tortillas. Keep the bowl covered with a kitchen towel while rolling tortillas. Cook tortillas, one at a time, in a dry griddle or heavy skillet over moderate heat, flipping tortillas with a spatula to cook both sides. Serve tortillas warm.
They dont take alot of time or energy, but sometimes it takes a few times to get the hang of making them round.
