I believe this is a Fleabane Daisy. The white & purple flowers are growing all over the place here in S.E. PA. Some are 3' tall or so.
Note the very fine hairs on the flower; must be over 100 very fine hair petals per flower. Not like an ox-eye, which has maybe a dozen or so.
Can you guys/gals confirm this as the Flebane? The only part that makes me wonder about it are the very fine hairs, which are almost as fine as human hair...
If it is...I cannot really find any info. about its' edibility...
EDIT - - - As per this page, I believe this may actually be "Common Fleabane". The ones growing here have hairy stems, as it says in the description.
