I would like to also add, if this is your first 1911 I would get a relatively inexpensive one, so that you may learn to break the pistol down, work on it, bang it around some, and find out if this is the pistol for you. I am a 1911 fanatic, but honestly these are not plug and play weapons 24 hrs a day,, you have to maintain them, carress them, love them...lol
