(WXYZ) - The FBI was conducting raids Saturday night at multiple locations in southeast Michigan.

Action News has learned Homeland Security and the Joint Anti-terrorism Task Force is also involved in a major operation.

Federal officials would not say who they were targeting or where, but the FBI has set up a command center at the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department in Ann Arbor, where they have brought in two satellite trucks and a radio tower.

Agents have also obtained search warrants and multiple arrests have been made.

The story is vague, which might or might not be cause for concern.
Cause for concern? According to information gathered this operation involves 3 states, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois. Reports from people residing in these states are that no specific information is currently available, but it has been observed to be fact of FBI operating in these states.
It is believed to be some sort of operation involving terrorist activities.
Will keep my eye on this and post follow up as information is found.

i doubt it, if the PTB can keep it quiet enough, using the patriot act, they can accuse you of terrorism, and throw you in a dark hole somewhere with no trial, no nothing.

Judge to rule on release of 8 militia suspects

DETROIT — A federal judge is expected to decide whether eight suspected members of a Christian militia accused of conspiring to overthrow the government will stay in jail until trial.

U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Donald A. Scheer in Detroit said Thursday he needed more time to decide whether to grant prosecutors' request that the eight remain locked up. A decision was expected Friday.

The eight are suspected members of a group called the Hutaree, based in Michigan. They're charged with seditious conspiracy, attempting to use weapons of mass destruction and other crimes.

Prosecutors say they planned to make a false 911 call, kill responding police officers and set off a bomb at the funeral to kill many more.
