anyone know the minimum temp to get favas to germinate? I kind procrastinated too long with my winter cover and it's sortta winter now but penney wort is doing great in the garden now but I want that to be favas to get the shot of nitrogen in the spring. Think I can get them to germinate?

My book says minimum 60' for beans, doesn't specifically mention fava. Optimum betw. 60 - 85. I have no idea where you live or if it's snowed yet there!? but hope this is of some vague use.

nah, no snow last week it was 18C fthis week the high is 4C. At night it's going down to -4C. Gonna be rainy and yucky cold sunday. I'm doing alotta inside things.

maybe I'll try to sprout em on a cookie sheet then plant them. They're supposed to be cold heart to 7F it rarely ever gets that cold here.
