In my local Ace Hardware affiliate, I saw bags of barbeque pellets. Anyone have experience using these? More/less efficient than charcoal? A frivolity, or practical?
Charcoal, or cowboy charcoal..... Only way to go. I am not a big fan of processed pellets......the best is cowboy charcoal. All natural and no additives....
Some of those pellets are for a special type of grill that uses an electric heater. The heater heats the pellets up, burns them, and produces a smoke to add flavor to the meat. But they do not cook the meat, its the heater that does that.
