Did everyone see/hear the story on the terrorist attack potential. Says attack likely in next five years, with Anthrax the largest threat. When I heard the story on the radio, they also said smallpox has a high potential.

This is why our gov't is basing up to 20,000 troops in the continental US. It's either a dirty bomb, or a germ attack. They know something is coming-just not sure when. Think they'd spend a dime to make sure the sheeple are prepared? Hell no. All folks who are prepared ought to have gas masks as part of their kit. A Pro Mask, (gas mask) will not help for much more than tear gas. NBC attacks require a MOPP level 4, which is head too toe coverage, extra heavy boots and gloves. Chemical agents get in through your skin, so do weaponized pathogens, even though I think anthrax spores will be stopped in a filter, they can still affect skin. I don't know about Nuclear radiation, there are protective suits, but I'm not sure US issue J-list (MOPP GEAR) will protect you from it.

Face it, if you don't work for the empire, you're F'ed. Even if you do, the best gear starts from the top, down. So there won't be many folks left besides officers and bureaucrats. Best bet is to stay away from populated areas, I know I will.

If they were so concerned for you then why not close the border with Mexico? If there was a real threat from terrorists coming into America with nukes or germ warfare weapons I'd think Mexico would be the route.

Besides, when has the government ever done anything to actually help America?

The New Deal, The war on drugs, poverty and terrorism, the bailouts. All these things were done to help us.

Smallpox worries me more, though i am Not in a Big city and figure

we would not be a priority target. Smallpox is insidiously wicked

and easy to spread.

The chatter indicates as many as 1100 to 1200 fanatic muslims may be involved in the preparation of their activities. That is not to say that many take active part but the network appears to be such from weak outside sources.

This would certainly indicate a large but crude operation since bio attacks could be carried out by a very small group with not much financing.

What we know for shure was not only were there planes last time but bio right after. Since there has never been a handwriting sample that matched we can assume the person that did it knew english but never writes it in their normal activities.

Now the only way they could pull off a bio run was along side a larger and cruder attack which would lead us to believe it was crude at first and give the bio agent a chance to spread while resources were dealing with the first attack.

the 2010 olympics is a perfect target. think of all the international dignitaries that will be there. when i realized the probability of a major event in vancouver in 2010, i immediately made plans to leave. i don't know how to decribe it; i just have a gut feeling.

I beg to differ. I think they worked exactly as planned. We just weren't told the real plan.

A few months ago the UN medical people held some conferences where different specialists made predictions about infection rates involving bird flu, smallpox and so on. Most of the predictions centered on the potential for a major city, like Chicago, to lose about 40% of its population. Gradually, some specialists moved their individual estimates upwards and upwards. Finally one lone voice, a virologist made the prediction that, in some cases, as much as 90% of the human population could be wiped out if transfer conditions were perfect. Imagine that. 5.4 billion people dead in about a two week period.

Why would anyone dare use something outlawed by the "Geneva Convention". Don't they know the UN would step in ....UHH right this is scary stuff even today 25 years later, I recall my military training on this. I also helped my employer shoot a video on this for Shelter in Place in such a event....Some people have no hesititation on crimes against a civilian population.
