As some of you may have seen, at the top of the forum there is a link to a Escape & Evasion Online Broadcast

Only 200 slots are available, so if your interested get signed up as soon as possible.

Topics will cover:

Real world tactics to survive civil unrest (such as natural disaster conflicts, demonstrations gone bad, race riots, etc.)

How to defeat looters and violent opportunists with nothing to fear during times of lawlessness!

Escaping violent mobs! When the police and military are overrun, anarchy consumes everything in the way...and you'd better know how to leave a danger zone fast!

"Target hardening" secrets! During times of social chaos, the more prepared you are, the more likely you are to be tracked and taken advantage of! We'll talk about ways to stay hidden...even in plain sight!

On the run! When you're being tracked by opportunists who want what you have, you'll need all the tactics you can muster to lose them fast and escape to safety!

And a lot more.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On a personal note, I registered for the class and awaiting my confirmation email.
The fact that an *online* broadcast only has 200 "seats" tells me that it's a marketing scheme. They give out juicy tidbits to get you interested but not the complete information. You have to pay to get the rest of the information. No thanks. I despise that type of marketing.
Probably bandwidth restrictions.
I dunno.
Someone should at least record it. However, there is always a catch...
To be honest, they probably have very useful things to say, and I really like it when people try to scam me. It's funny finding the bait and then hook. It usually hides right behind the word "Free".
Also, the two bags will be won by their own people. Happens all the time.
That being, if this is a scam. Kev, please take no offense to any of our speculations.
This.^ They think you lack confidence in yourself, so they want to make you feel special while you are with them. You are 1 of 200. Yay You!!!
I might just check it out anyhow though, as if it is free there is nothing to lose right? Anything I learn Today is more than I knew Yesterday. On that Merit alone I may check it out. After all, this is the Disaster Prep. General Discussion Forum, not the For Sale Forum. Might make for good conversation on Future Threads with Titles like,:"Are You One Of The Two-Hundred?":D:
As long as it does not end up telling me,"Don't forget to drnk your Ovaltine." ETA: Waitng on my confirm E-Mail too.
Thanks for the Heads up Kev.
My Mother was an Art Director for a News Paper in New Jersey in the 80s. She knows all about Advertising and I took classes on it in High School, so I don't react to Marketing the ways some may. I learn from that too.
Maybe, but it smacks of an online version of those "seminars" where you get "free tickets" and they'll teach you how to end your money woes, or buy houses cheap, or whatever. They build the audience up. Give them all sorts of great (but incomplete) ideas and such. Then at the end, you can purchase the information required to put it into use for only $399.
From the looks of it, it's first come first serve. They will let as many as they want sign up, but will stop allowing people in after they reach their cap. If they actually have a cap. Probably realistically capping around 10,000.
Why might I assume this? Incentive to win the bags. You wont know how many people are there. 1 in 100 isn't bad odds, but when 965 people show up, your chances slim a bit.
"limited seating" also brings urgency to signing up. Even more so to showing up. It's not like it will be a chat room for you to comment or ask questions. So we have the bait, now we await the equally urgent, buy now before it's to late, limited time and supply offer hook.
MikeK was right when the seating part seemed odd.
MikeK, you should attend. This might be a ton of fun. We all could always log on the chat room here, and real time chat about it. It would be funny if we have more then 200 people in our own chat room listening in.
FYI, Jeff Anderson, the guy with this upcoming broadcast, advertised in USCCA (a concealed carry magazine). I bought a information booklet from him called "Home Defense Tactics" thru USCCA with the promise of a 100% money back guarantee. Short story, NO MONEY BACK and when I told USCCA about it they couldn't care less. So to cut my losses I canceled my USCCA subscription. This louse (Jeff Anderson) demonstrated to me that WHATEVER he has to talk about, I need to NOT listen. As far as USCCA goes, I don't trust or miss a gun magazine that doesn't put their subscriber's interests ahead of their advertiser.
