Thank you. Some interesting ommissions. I have a bag in a cardboard box. I use a kids old retired knapsack for a "Get Home Bag". The box is for minor car repairs. All my cars are so equipped.
Knapsack: (1 Ninja turtles, 1 Matchbox, 1 Barbie)
Old pair of sneakers and white socks in a plastic zip lock bag
A Naglene (first aid kid/bottle with band aids, alchol wipes, etc.)
Extra batteries for flashlight in car and kit to charge cell phone from batteries
Cheapo survival knive
compass and maps of NY, Long Island
Garbage Bag
survival blanket
lighter, matchbook in zip lock bag
woolen watch cap
Gum, mints, cards, mini notebook with address and tel numbers
$50 cash hidden in book
Car kit on cardboard box has the usual:
Jumper cables, tire repair spray, duct tape, electrical tape, razor blade, metal hose clamps, plyers, flat screw driver, Philips screw driver, Orange reflective triangles, 1 plastic wheel chock 1/4 tarp to lay on, water in old Prestone bottle and empty gas can (2/1/2 gallon), rope.
Knapsack covers the car gear in the box. If I have to hoof it home, the flashlight, tire iron and knapsack would come with me.
LOLThank you.
There for a minute, I thought that I was the only one with a recycled kids bakpack in my vehicle. The get home bag in my company truck is a spiderman model.
Go spidey go!
