So I was looking through my pockets today and I realized that I have a lot of random stuff that people may think I'm a bit loopy for carrying around. Obviously I carry all thsese things for a reason, and each item has come in handy at least once. So here is a list of my EDC items: One small flashlight, 2 pens, one sharpie (red), a S&W folding knife, a Shefield (crappy local brand) multitool, a mini multitool as a keychain, a bic lighter, about 15 feet of paracord, a compass, toenail clippers, 2 firestarter cubes, a tube of chapstik, a small box of matches (with extra strikers and matches dipped in wax, also a razor blade in the box.) My cellphone, my wallet, mystic stones, two carabiners to clip keychains to my pants, and a creepy clown keychain. Seeing this list it seems like a lot, but I've used every item at least once, most of them I use almost everyday. I was wondering what things you guys (and gals) carry on a regular basis. What is your E.D.C.?

For me, it's a pretty short list:

- Keychain w\ small multi-tool
- Leatherman Wingman
- Folding knife (Kershaw, CRKT, etc.)
- CRKT F1000 flashlight
- Phone, wallet, work ID badge

If I'm at at work, my CC handgun has to stay in the car due to company policy. My GHB also stays in the car except during the winter, during which it hangs in my cubicle.

On my belt is a sheath with an Old Timer three blade knife, another with a 5 function flashlight, and in the third, a Leatherman Wave. In my pockets, a magnesium fire starter, my keys, $300+ , a camo dew rag, some tissues, and a sock puppet.

I have to ask what use you found for the "creepy clown keychain" if other than a keychain?

I like your stuff, but I would add a bandana.

Does the dog breed piggyback, or does he fit in a cargo pocket?

He doesn't care where he bites you.
OMG! I'm tired. I didn't proofread. That was not supposed to say does the dog breed piggyback. It was supposed to say does the dog RIDE piggyback! Everybody knows dogs breed piggyback!

For some reason, I had an image come into my head that I had once seen of an army dog riding piggyback on his handler after a particularly tiring mission.

Good to know I'm not crazy and others carry even more than I do. I wanted to carry a bandanna, but I live in an area with a large gang population and I don't want to give anyone the wrong impression. Maybe an extra shirt instead?

Shove it in the bottom of the deep pocket. be sure it is 100% cotton. pick a color or pattern that is not likely to be associated with gang activity i.e., pink flowers with butterflies or something. A bandana can be used to help filter water, it can be used as a dust mask, with a key ring and a biner clip it can be used as a tourniquet, it can be used as a pressure bandage, if you pick off little bits of the threads on the edge, that can be used as tinder for fire starting, it can be worn as a headband to keep the sweat out of your eyes, and a whole lot more. I generally carry two of them. I carry one camo, and one bright colored flowery one.

Ha. Yeah actually. I've had it for 5 years now. I can't tell you how many times I've had random people say how cool it is, or ask if it's Pennywise from Stephen King's IT or what (it's not, just a scary clown head.) I've had this guy so long the paint has worn off and his nose Isn't red anymore, which I feel makes him even creepier. Friends from high school marvel that I still have it. But he's part of my E.D.C. and he's not going anywhere.

Yeah I would definitely like to carry a bandanna, the uses are endless. In the woods I do carry a couple different bandannas for different purposes, but in the city I may just carry an old shirt I can tear up if need be. Call me a prideful fool but the idea of carrying a pink rag does not appeal to me. Not to mention hot pink is the colors of one of the local gangs. The only reason I get away with wearing solid black is because people think I'm a rocker goth dude.

Can I ask what the rocks are for? I carry stones to help align charkras and to meditate with.
