Save 50% off all clearance/last chance prices started today.
Picked up 10 led lanterns regularly $20 down to $4 each.
Lawn and garden has so much 50-75% off even charcoal, $1 birdfeeders, $.87 sprinkers, $1 3-way hoze nozzles, and telescopic rakes for $1.50.

Save on items now, and use the $ you saved for other preps.

Oh and if you do the "capri sun mylar" thing, koolaid jammers lemonade/orange are $.30 for a box of 10. and pop ice 100ct is $.52.

Stopped by the local store today and, although the 50% Off signs were all over the store near clearance tagged items, the sale only applied to "select" clearance & last chance items that were up front. In the time I was there I saw a lot of items go behind the counter when they rang up at regular price and folks (including me) decided they didn't want them.

The store isn't too far down the road, so after reading ksmama's account of her trip I decided to make another run by... and it appears you may be right. The various clearance areas were almost bare!

I was only slightly disappointed before - now I'm really bummed. :D:

My store had what looked like two different sales going farther back in the store, with huge signs about 25% off some stuff that was right next to signs about the half price sale. What happened up front was they took 75% off that stuff in the 25% shelf. The manager had told me before that some of their stuff would ring like that..if it had been on clearance already..it was going to be almost free. I picked up three large cans of shortening for making emergency candles and thought I was going to get them for $1.40, but instead, they rang up at $.60. Found a pair of beginner binoculars for $2.50. And so the first gift of Christmas is bought. My 4 year old granddaughter will be thrilled.

Unless they had more stuff in back to set out later, they didn't have near the amount and variety as the last half price sale. I mentioned the lack of food items to one of the cashiers and she said they'd been putting food out in their everyday half price bin..which is true. I've snagged lots of edibles that way since the last sale. I just hope they continue that practice.
