I'm canning pinto beans and wondering if anyone has a recipe for canning chili.

I haven't canned chili, but I have made chili from pressure canned venison many times. It's fast and probably tastes fresher.

Sorry i dont can it i eather freeze it or dehydrate it.

Do you mind sharing your recipe for pressure canning venison?

I cold pack venison cut up venison chunks in pt widemouth jars. Add 1/2 tsp canning salt and a dash of black pepper. I pressure can at 10 lbs for 90 mins.
It's fall apart tender and ready for soups, stews or right out of the can to make sandwiches and such.

Thanks Becky. Are there any rules that you should follow while canning? For instance, is it ok to flour the meat before browning? Also, do you know what the shelf life is on canned food?
