When our area got the 90 gallon trash recepticals that the trucks can pick up and dump with a lift, our raccoon population dropped rapidly. The raccoons could no longer feed on garbage because they could no longer tip over the garbage cans.

Could be people eating the wildlife or it could just be that the wildlife no longer has as much access to human garbage. Maybe people aren't throwing away as much food? That could cause a contraction in the food chain.

Jonesboro has used those recepticals for about 10 years, but it still could be the less food waste.
