I purchased a Eureka Tetragon 2 man tent. Got it for a great price on ebay. I've spent many nights in it with my sons scout troop. However if I had to do it again I would spend a little more and get a Eureka Apex. As far as sleeping bags go, if summer camping is all your doing get a good ground pad and a cozy blanket. If there are 2 of you get a 3 man tent. My 2 man Tetragon only works for me and my wife because we sleep close together, and its still cramped.

The verde 40 is a good buy, the wicked hot is a little more expensive because it's so light. I've got some of these on the way, pm me if you're interested, I'm a dealer and can hook you up alot cheaper than that. The ultralight stuff is entirely mesh above the bathtub floor so it's great for summer camping but it costs a little more for the bigger ones for car camping.

Any tent is going to work fine for nice weather camping. What you are going to find, though, is that you will pay a hundred times over for buying a cheap tent when the weather turns nasty, not only in discomfort but in having all your gear and yourself soaked to the bone.

If you truly know that you aren't going to be out in bad weather with it, it really doesn't matter how crummy the tent is because they all work fine for that.

I picked up a GoLite bag pretty cheap on Amazon. I got a 20 degree bag, but am probably going to buy a forty because the twenty is too damn warm. For a tent, I would just suggest seeing if you can pick up a Sil tarp.

car camping? backpacking? weather conditions?

for me I use a marmot sawtooth sleeping bag now its 200 bucks so ya.. my tent is only worth 40... I rather have a good sleeping bag and crap tent.. (I use a tarp over it anyways) cheap blue tarp.. cheap tent it works keeps the wind and bugs off all I need it to do..

if you want comfert.. get a cot bed to get off the ground 2 sleeping bags something to go over your head and a cheap o tent with a tarp over top... 1 sleeping bag on the bottom 1 on top what I do when I car camp.. I also have a wool hat as well.. since you lose most heat out of your head.. I sleep like a baby with that.. and if its hot I just take something off
