This is a local story here in Denver, but it really urks the heck out of me. I understand peoples opinion about trophy kills, not that I agree nor really disagree with them, but this women killed this cat 100% legally and did nothing wrong. If the people do not like what they are seeing, do not attack the person as she's not breaking any laws, but they should go after the law to which I'd fight them tooth n nail on.

Some of the comments against this women are sick and very disturbing!

Most all of them are blowhards that don't have a clue about anything other than getting their nails done, facials and shopping at the mall

If they had ever lost family pets or cherished livestock at the hands of a predator, they'd want blood and they'd stop at nothing to get it.

"Let's hunt her!" commented one.

Yes, let the anti-hunting females go after a woman who has at least one rifle, knows how to use it and has successfully taken down a several hundred pound predator among other animals, all in the animal's native habitat.

That will end well. And would probably make a good adventure movie.
That's part of the problem with anti Gunners. Because the are sick in the head they expect everybody else must be. They don't understand some of us have handled guns since before we could ride a bike. For us its how we get our groceries.

Gonna throw my .02 in here and leave it at this:

I have no problems with hunting. I have no problems with the killing of animals if its needed to thin herds to keep nature in balance, or to protect livestock.

I have zero use for trophy hunting. Period. So long as the kill goes to feed the guides and their villages, fine. But I have a real issue with killing simply for the sake of killing.

I was brought up to respect nature, and to eat what you kill. I don't understand the need to kill for a trophy though.

I'm no trophy hunter as I eat what I kill but they give license for these predators for a particular reason. The last few years there have been a large growth in Cougars in the Colorado area. Population in cougars is bad for several reasons. It decimates yearling population, forces them to move into more populated areas and increases domestic and human intervention.

In stead of being intimidated by the media, more women should flood the media with their trophies, and show the world that women are respected for their prowess and hunting skills .
Certainly early people all participated in the hunt not just the men .
Seems the liberal PETA are trying to govern what women can and cannot do .
