The novelty wears off pretty quickly. I have a 3500 lumen that really lights up the whole neighborhood and beyond but using it to perform a task or inside the house it is just too much.
Doesn't dim? I have a Nebo Redline, I don't recall the exact lumens offhand 3200 or 3600 and if I hold the button down it will dim down to 20% and flash when it hits that level. The PaL+ that I just got for Christmas and is now my pocket light does the same thing.

It does, I just hate the push button. You have to gently push the button half pressure to change settings. Too light it doesn't change, too heavy it turns it off. I like the hold down to dim feature yours has.

Clipped to my pocket is the Sofirn Sp10 pro, (the red one) it’s a fully programmable 900 max lumens wonder light for around 30 bucks….. Best edc light for the money IMO.

Clipped to my belt loop is the Olight i25….. Twist style 90 lumens I think…… Usb c rechargeable and the size of the top half of my pinky….. I think they run like 20 bucks.

I used both of them multiple times today.

Sofirn and Wurkkos make good quality lights for budget prices.

I have a Wurkkos WK30 which is a great light. Takes a 21650 5-Amp battery. The head has a nice 90 CRI - 5,000K white led, a red led and a 365nm UV led.

Sounds a bit gimmicky, but all three beams are really nice. The white light on 1,200 lumens can light up my entire backyard (1/2 acre). On the 5 lumen setting, the light will last almost 300 hours. The UV light is at the right nm wavelength to detect most organics (including scorpions) and has high and low settings. :)

I keep a Streamlight in my pocket, a Surefire in my GHB. Have either Surefires or an Olight mounted on my home defense guns (pistols, rifles, shotguns), and an assortment of chinese cheapo lights around the house for emergencies.

It’s funny, as I was sitting here reading this thread, my wife was making fun of me for wearing cargo pants in which I carry a flashlight and tourniquet…amongst other things. Fingers crossed for SHTF so I can get some vindication, and maybe a little respect LMFAO!

Streamlight Strion is on my belt, almost every day. If I’m not carrying it, I grab the Surefire G2X LE. Next to my recliner is old faithful. It’s a full size streamlight, that rode with me, many nights. It now gets nightly use, on the dogs potty breaks. I had a new switch installed on it, a year or so ago. It works just as good as it ever did.

I edc a streamlight protac 2l-x. Good controls works well with harries grip. Pocket clip is deep carry and also doubles as a headlamp with the bill of my hat. Had it for years zero issues.

I use the streamlight rechargable 18650 cell with the built in micro usb charging port.

My pack has a zebralight headlamp in it die to their efficiency/battery life. I forget the name exactly but it also runs on 18650 cells.
