I like CZ's, though I don't own any right now.
Both would be problematic to me for CC because I am not a fan of DA/SA, neither can be carried Condition 1. Consistent trigger pull is a good thing IMHO.
I like the P01, but it's heavy for what it is. 28oz empty?
A G19 is 2/3 the weight, and accomplishes everything that the P01 does while being slimmer (9mm CZ's are thicker than 45ACP Glocks), shorter in every dimension, a lot lighter, and still carries one more round - with the abilty to use 17 and 33 round mags for reloads...
Not Poo-pooing the CZ, also not posting an ad for Glock. Just food for thought.
I looked hard at the RAMI when I was looking for a CC gun a several years back. Shot it a bit, it was accurate and reliable. I liked it, liked how if felt in the hand, I even liked the idea of hammer fired. But... what is the advantage? Guns are tools.
I'm not going to be cocking the hammer for emphasis like they do on TV, it's superfluous and another area for failure.
DA/SA has no advantages at all in my book, just adds complexity that degrades accuracy.
Alloy vs. polymer? Well, that's a mental thing. Truth is poly guns are every bit as reliable long term as metal. They don't scratch as easily, weigh less, and are generally more forgiving to abuse than metal, IME.
Now, I'm not saying don't get a CZ. I own a lot of guns that are emotional buys. But, I've also been carrying for years and I know how many guns I went through till I figured out what worked. For me, CZ has better alternatives, YMMV.
The one CZ that I think is truly outstanding is the 75B. Easily one of the top 5 or 10 9mm's. I'd own one now, except length of pull is a little long for me.
All that said, get what makes you happy and learn to use it well. There are tons of great guns on the market, and you could do a lot worse than anything CZ offers.
