I think Israel is getting wary of team Obama throwing them under the bus, and will soon make the choice of to go it alone against Iran. I do not think Obama will give them much ie intel or commodity to not protect their existence.

Imagine if Mexico was fanatical, citing they want to commit genocide against US citizens, and wipe us off the face of the map while working on nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. At what point would you want our politicians to strike to save us from anhilation even if Canada did not approve. I feel for the people of Israel as well as the innocent civilians in Iran.

Some politicians make it out like both sides have good arguments, or valid points in the debate. But let us be clear, one country merely wishes to exist, the other wants to wipe that country off of the map. It could be sooner or later, but the time to avoid nuclear war is shrinking rapidly.

I would consider the source. Honestly i never believe anything that comes from "retired CIA offical" or "long time veteran of 'blank'" or anything like that. If Isreal was going to attack Iran and the US was aware of it you wouldnt be hearing about it till the bombs fell. The source almost always prove false. Hell come interview me i'm a "long time military intellegence veteran".

Don't see this one happening... Israel won't bomb Iran without committed US support, plain and simple. They have too many adversaries in the middle east to risk unilateral strikes. 70% of Iran's population is under the age of 50, and generally have a favorable view of the United States. Going to war, or supporting an Israeli strike would be catastrophic to our strategic goal of turning the Iranian people against their government.

A lot of the wealthy Iranian youth were educated in the west, and are bringing home western concepts. They want more freedoms and less government interference in their lives.

Military action that is pre-emptive would be a huge mistake given the current climate in the middle east in the wake of the jasmine revolution. Not gonna happen.
