I was on craigslist.org looking in the Free Stuff section on Saturday and I saw a working glass lined water heater and thought "I could use this as a 50 gallon, long term water storage tank. So I picked it up. Looks in good shape, tested it for leaks and found none. I just need to cap off the extra pipes and fill it up. What do you think?

i think that is a good idea, just put in an area that wont freeze and cause the tank to rupture and make sure that the inside of the tank is free from rust and scale that could contaminate the water:thumb:

Those are both good ideas/suggestions. Thank you. I was thinking about plumbing it in, but not sure I want to go the the trouble right now. I live in Austin, TX so unless the Global Climante Hits the Fan GCHF, no worries of freezing.
