Does anyone know where to get cheap .22lr ammo anywhere. Because in Az where i live a brick of .22lr ammo is anywhere from $22-$30. and a couple years ago it was $7 a brick. i know ammo prices have sky rocketed since President Obama took office. Just wondering if anyone knew where to get cheap ammo. Also need some cheap .223 i want brass casings though not wolf steel casings. I dont like putting steel casings through my Ar.

Around here I get ammo at either Walmart or Farm and fleet, and if it's on sale at Dunhams or Gander Mountain. .22lr bulk packs run about $16, premium stuff around $.06 per rd. As for the .223, seems to run $8 per box, have even seen M856 and M855 at that price on sale.

Buy good ammo bad ammo will just screw up the gun.Russian 22Lr is OK in a single shot gun but I would stay away from it. I buy Remington Viper 22Lr and CCI SGR it coast more but you could take down a human for protection and a deer for hunting
(I know people that have done it)

I don't buy a box every week or so like some. I save my money and buy bulk purchases online. Alteast you duck sales tax, shipping is usually half the price of tax anyways.

I like graf and sons ,wideners reloading, I check up cabelas for sales on ammo, classic arms sometimes has a good deal.

i just buy federal automatch now. a hair cheaper than cci mini mags, more accurate (in my gun) and just as dependable.

i have tested blazzer, federal bulk champion lightning and auto match, winny grey box 333 expediter super x packed like mini mag, centurian, wolf match target, rem target and goldencrap as well as the junk with the tornado on it, cci standard mini mag velocitor stinger and green tag, and eley sport. for my money i buy the fed auto match and cci minimag for hunting and preps, blazer and fed bulk for the kids.

the wolf was just a tad more accurate, not enough for me for my needs to justify the price.

Walmart is probably the cheapest place. Online prices might be slightly better until you factor in shipping, then Walmart wins again. If your gun likes Federal bulk pack, and you're lucky enought that your Walmart carries it, it's a good deal. It's my favorite bulk ammo, but Walmart stopped selling it. The Remington and Winchester bulk ammo that they sell now doesn't function well in some of my guns.
