Dear friends,

Cellphone is a very useful modern invention. However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death. Never use the cellphone while it is hooked to the mains!

Cell phone batteries can sometimes explode and/or start fires.

Today another boy died because of attending a call while his mobile was still charging. That time he had a sudden vibration to his heart and then his hands got burned.

So please don't answer calls or call out while charging your cell phone. When the phone's battery is low to the last bar don't make a call or answer any incoming calls because the radiation is 1000 times stronger. This can happen to any brand of mobile phones out there.

A few days ago, a person was recharging his cell phone at home. Just at that time a call Came in and he answered it with the instrument still connected to the outlet. After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cellphone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud. As you can see, the phone actually exploded. His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers. He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. Cell phones are a very useful modern invention. However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death.

I have a cell phone for emergency purposes only, it stays either in the car, or in my backpack if I'm in class. I'm not a big fan of cell phones, especially when I look around and everyone at my university is walking around like zombies with their eyes glued to their screens.

It's common knowledge that ANY battery can explode during recharge, so always be aware of a hot phone or other strange behavior during charging. However, read the Snopes article-most of the stories of 'electrocutions' lack supporting evidence and can't be verified.
Thank you Quasar. Yes I understand. It would be interesting to see someone compile all cellphone related accidents, especially the ones involving electrocutions/battery explosion. A compilation of accident reports from doctors offices and hospitals, not just stories told.

Lithium Ion batteries contain metal strips that are extremely flammable. I save it out of all the old batteries I get. burns like magnesium and can be lite more easily. good for starting fire and such.
