I took one to Iraq for 2 different tours. I bought a new one when I came home last time,
not because anything was wrong with it, I just gave the old one to a friend.

It is quick to get on target, I like the built in iron sights.
Battery life is incredible, I changed the batteries twice in my old one over 5 years.

They are pretty popular with 3 gun competitors and take a lot of abuse on the ranges.

I put it through hell.

c-more red dot

Thanks Doc for the info--I have a friend that has one He had on his ar 5.56 and now has it on his 9mm ar that he built. He also spoke of the great battery life. Has had his for years and loves it. He has the c-more tactical. I'm looking to put one on my ar.:thumb:

Some on another sight said they would not suggest it for the ar. I would think you know from experience and my friend also highly agrees.

It works fine on the AR, the tactical cut down carry handle version is good to go.

Now the regular version of the C-More may take more of a beating, never tried it in that format.

I haven't had the same luck nor did a lot of my friends. I had two of them and they both crapped out on me with power/battery problems. They were the last of my battery powered optics. The slightest bit of dust and the projection is gone. Same thing with snow or water.

A lot of guys have them on their Open guns in USPSA but it's not very popular on rifle formats.

The Burris Fastfire, Trijicon RMR, Reflex and several others are heavily influenced by the C-More but they never really held up very well. I used to see them on a lot of AR's in the co-witness/scout mount before the flat top craze but not much anymore.
