I bought one of the early Ruger GP 100 revolvers, and have run my wild and wooly handloads through it for 35 yrs. It is decently accurate and built like a tank.

Four yrs ago I saw a more refined version of the GP 100 in a gun store, and I bought that one too. This new version is called the Match Champion. It has a lighter, profiled barrel, and less chunky feel. Handles more like the old Security Six. The GP 100 Match comes with a shimmed hammer, factory trigger job, and carries and shoots far better IMO.
