I especially encourage home canners to read that thread. We're the ones needing to understand botulism the most, yet I've seen a few of us who don't.
Botulism Primer on the forum
I'm not trying to "advertise" but there is a thread in the General Preparedness section regarding botulism - what it is, what it isn't, and what can be done to prevent it.
It was placed in that section because it affects the entire swath of preparedness, survivalist, and homesteading types.
Some members never come into this section of the forum. Some members that come in this section, rarely go to other sections. Thus, this cross-reference thread.
