This could already be a thread but I haven't been on in forever, so anyway... I was thinking for a BOB about things like:

penicillin ("left over" from doctors appointments)

Listerine-- Living proof that it works on things like athlete's foot, or things that itch

Cloth Diapers-- If you have children this would be good because they can stretch through babies' ever so quick changing sizes

Midol/Aleve-- both strong for pain

Vaseline-- Good on cuts, dry skin, dry noses, and other things...

Please respond w/more!

We stock up on stuff from dollar tree. There is a list floating around the web on $5 preps and lists all the things you can get for $5 to help with preps. Everyone has their own ideas about the future the one truth is that everything is uncertain.

I would add
tempra(or other kid meds for fevers/pain, etc)
kid's advil
activities for the kids (books, lego, play-do, markers & colouring books, etc)
AND
if your kids have blankies and/or favourite teddies, find replicas NOW and switch them often enough that they will work equally well (a new teddy that may LOOK the same, is not, they have to be well-loved)

besides meds and diapers and wipes.....I would definately say activities of some kind. I usually go along the same lines as I would for a road trip. As my step son george is special needs, activities is still a big thing even with him.
