That has been happening for a very long time.
Test kits & scales are cheap and easy to use. Buying anything from untrusted sources is a gamble. The market is full of fake watches, purses and all kinds of high end goods so every purchase is a adventure.
Most of our gold came out of the ground right here at the homestead and we know its characteristics very well.
