I'm as fond of mocking people who patently deserve it as the next guy. Mockery and contempt literally bought me my house.

But in this political season, beware of relying more on belittling(pun intended) Bloomberg and attacking Buttigieg's homosexuality than on the real and substantial reasons not to vote for these politicians. There are plenty. If you forego the substantial reasons and focus on the trivial reasons to a fault, you could wind up sounding like people with no substantial argument to make.

That could help their campaigns more than hinder them.

A truth. They're weak enough on the issues, fortunately. But the one thing a politico fears more than anything else, the thing that drives grudges in both Houses of Congress, the thing that flares nostrils and starts vendettas in the political world, is ridicule.

I'm not voting for Bloomberg because he's a dwarf and I'm not voting for Butiplug because he's an effeminate boy-toy. :)

Kidding of course. I'm not voting for either of them because they're Socialist oinkers.

It's a tactic that the left has employed for decades! What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Fighting fire with fire.

You are correct because this is what the left has been doing to Trump and his popularity has been rising

I won't vote for Bloomberg or Buttiplug mainly because of their stand on guns and also Buttiplugs ideas on (that's all I'll say, y'all can figure it out)

Both have ideologies that don't coincide with mine

Mods: edit that if you need to, I wasn't sure how else to word it

I'm sorry, but when a leading Democrat politician is homosexual and his name is pronounced "Booty Judge," that fruit hangs a little too low not to be plucked.

Bloomberg has been flooding the TV in my area with his anti-gun ads. Pretty much every thing he stands for goes counter to the prevailing culture in Utah.

Buttiplug was just here saying that illegals have as much right to my country as I do.:mad::mad:

Our last SLC mayor was a **** so there's that. The Utah Senate had a gay "married" legislator, so there's that.

I can't stand either the dwarf or the butt plug because they are RABID PROG-COMMIES who want to continue the o-hole's transforming the USA into Venezuela.

Conservatives and The Right have been reasoning with the Left since forever, and what has it gotten us? GW & Obama, laws that infringe our rights, a do-nothing Congress who only lives to lie and attack the President, a MSM who's complicit and amplifying the derangement, a small (and growing) minority of young (and some not-so-young) people who are outright **violent**, with stupid politicians and LEOs who stand by while we pee-on regular folks are assaulted, our moneys wasted (& worse, used to fund corrupt people and causes), and our rights keep getting trampled.

When dealing with a misbehaving dog or petulant child, one can't reason with them; one must apply a more direct correction. For the Dems and the loony Left, the most effective tool is ridicule (we tried shame; we learned that they didn't have any  ).

P.S. Most of the really good memes used against the anti-American Left usually have a massive kernel of truth or irony in them; that's what makes them so effective. If our memes were all like the ones seen from the Left ("the Left can't meme..."), they would all be superficial crap.

Oh.
You mean like the bloombergster electronic signs that came out today?

"Donald Trump eats burnt steak"

"Donald J. Trump lost the popular vote"

"Donald Trump went broke running a casino"

"Donald Trump's wall fell over"

You mean like those? :)

I got an ad the President could use;

"Hey Mikey.... you got something to say to me? Why don't you jump up on a box and say it to my face!" :D: :D: :D:

As mentioned before: The Left can't meme. It would appear they know nothing about effective campaign sloganing**, either. Might as well have quipped that 'Trump's mother wears army boots'. They're all so stupid.

If I were Bloomberg, I'd ask the firm who "thought" them up to give me a refund. Pathetic.

** Psst: To win, you actually have to... stand for something. Unfortunately, like George Castanza: the Dems got nothing.

Start making that argument to the Alinsky disciples. When they shut up, I will.

^^^ Funny how it's always only one side that's being asked for civility and compromise. I've yet to see on these boards, (or anywhere) where Regressives/Leftists chastise other Regressives/Leftists for being uncivil, or for being too radical. Even in destroying Leftist arguments here, we are still 10x more civil than they are.

For evidence and direct comparison of tenor of discussions, go to the subreddits: r/The_Donald and r/politics . Look at what happens when Leftists go to r/The_Donald and want to discuss specific points of disagreement. Do the same, when conservatives go to r/politics. The contrast is quite stark. [Hey, if you're adventurous, be the provocateur yourself, and see firsthand what happens to you when you bring up specific points of disagreement at each of the subs...]

Or, go to any conservative's Twitter, and look at who are the ones spouting the most venom and and the most vile of post. Then do the same at Dems' Twitter. Not for the faint-of-heart.
