More and more I'm leaning toward a Marlin 1894c .357 rifle with a few choice loads of both 38 and 357.
I'm adding more, 38 and 357 is easy to reload with a hand reloader, can shoot cast lead bullets and require very little powder, around 5 to 10 grains of powder depending on 38 or 357. 38 shoots incredibly sweet, on target and fast for any member of the family to shoot, including the wife; 357 will hunt. Hornady Lever Revolution will get out there and touch something. Rifle is easy to reload on the fly. All works well with a good companion 357 revolver.
